Root your Samsung Galaxy S3
Heres the step by step guide (Source: XDA Developers)
- You’ll need to Download the XX NEE ALE8 firmware.
- Then Download ODIN 1.85 that you may have used before to flash your previous android phone kernel.
- Shutdown your phone and restart in ”Download Mode” by pressing and holding down the Volume Down + Power buttons together and then press Volume Up when prompted.
- Run ODIN on your computer, connect your device via USB. On your computer, select on PDA and select the .tar file you extracted from the downloaded file.
- Hit Start to begin flashing.
- Once flashed, you need to change the insecure to full root. Start your phone Galaxy S III, and enable USB Debugging by browsing to Settings > Applications > Development.
- Now you install SuperSU from here Link (sgs3-root-install.zip).
- With adb running, double-click the install.bat and reboot.
